Het Theater van Dionysus was een belangrijk openluchttheater in het oude Griekenland, gebouwd aan de voet van de Akropolis van Athene. Het was gewijd aan Dionysus, de god van het toneel en de wijn (onder andere). Het theater bood plaats aan maar liefst 17.000 mensen, waardoor het een ideale locatie was voor het grootste theatrale evenement van het oude Athene, de Dionysia. Het werd het prototype voor alle theaters van het oude Griekenland.
