Het Achilleion is een paleis gebouwd door keizerin Elisabeth van Beieren, ook wel bekend als Sissi. Het is een zeer populaire toeristische trekpleister op Corfu. De casinoscène uit de James Bond-film 'For Your Eyes Only' werd hier in het Achilleion gefilmd. Het Achilleion werd recentelijk gebruikt voor de Europese topconferentie in 1994 en in 2003 voor de bijeenkomst van de Europese ministers van Landbouw. Het gebouw is rijkelijk versierd met schilderijen en beelden van Achilles, zowel in de grote zaal als in de tuinen, die scènes uit de Trojaanse oorlog uitbeelden.
