De Kerk van Sint Charalambos was tijdens de 2de Turkse periode van de burcht van Korini een moskee (1715-1828). Op de NW hoek van de kerk zie je nu nog een bouwwerkje waar de klokkentoren op gebouwd is maar waar in Turkse tijden een minaret was gebouwd. De eerste versie van deze kerk werd gebouwd in de Venetiaanser periode (1685-1715). Het was geen Orthodoxe maar wel een Katholieke kerk, toegewijd aan Sint Rochus (Rokkos), beschermheilige tegen plagen en epidemieën. na de Griekse revolutie werd het een Orthodoxe kerk.
