San Vito lo Capo is vooral bekend omwille van zijn strand en rots zoals Calpe/Gibraltar, "Monte Monaco".
Deze berg van 528m hoog is een populair wandelgebied, vlak bij het reservaat van Zingaro.
Boven op de top staat een ijzeren kruis. Dit grote kruis is door een vrome gelovige precies op de hoogste driehoek van de top geplaatst en is van ver zichtbaar.
U kunt de andere kant van de berg afdalen en het betoverende meer van Lago di Venere bereiken.
