Hier in Esch ontsnapte Raf, de langstzittende gedetineerde van België, veroordeeld tot levenslang voor meerdere gruwelijke misdaden en moorden. Ongeveer twintig jaar geleden ontsnapte hij tijdens een jaarlijks begeleid uitstapje in de Luxemburgse Ardennen, maar halverwege zijn vlucht keerde hij uit eigen beweging terug naar zijn bewaker. Schrijfster Saskia De Coster reconstrueert deze wandeling met Raf in haar boek Pink Lady uit de Terloops-reeks.
