De club ontstond in 1919 nadat de voorganger AFC Aalsmeer werd opgeheven. In 1923 sloot VV Aalsmeer zich aan bij de Amsterdamse Voetbalbond. En kwam te spelen in de derde Klasse. VV Aalsmeer werd dat seizoen derde en kon direct promoveren naar de 2e Klasse.In 2014 fuseerde VV Aalsmeer samen met Jong Aalsmeer United en RKAV naar FC Aalsmeer. Het eerste herenteam speelde in het laatste seizoen in de Eerste klasse B van zaterdag West II. Het werd hierin veertiende en laatste. Hierdoor komt het zaterdagteam van FC Aalsmeer in het seizoen 2014/15 uit in de Tweede klasse.
