De windmolen De Adriaan is bovenop een deel van de stadsmuur/poort gebouwd. Deze molen is niet toevallig zo hoog gebouwd. Om voldoende wind te kunnen vangen in een omgeving met veel woningen diende de molen er letterlijk bovenuit te torenen.
