"Jaaa, ze komen!" riep ik enthousiast tegen mijn vriend. "Mijn vriendinnen uit Ridderkerk komen en we gaan de Asperge fietstocht die wij laatst gedaan hebben ook doen!"

Een paar weken later, kwamen ze met de trein en fiets aan bij het treinstation in Reuver. Na een heerlijk stuk Limburgse Vlaai kon de fietstocht beginnen. De zon scheen fel en de lucht was fris. "Dit belooft een prachtige dag te worden," zei ik met een glimlach.
