Situat a uns 8 quilòmetres de la vila, a la part nord del terme municipal, sota el Cerro de Corcolilla . S'accedeix per la carretera CV-350, desviant-se més tard per la CV-359.
Per un privilegi i confirmació del rei Pere el Cerimoniós, fou donada a la vila d'Alzira a 29 de novembre de 1374. S'ignora quan va tornar a reintegrar-se Corcolilla a Alpont per no trobar-se escriptura. Altre fet històric és el pas de l'església a parròquia l'any 1772.
