El cercle de pedres de Castlerigg, prop de Keswick a Anglaterra, és un dels cromlecs més grans d'Anglaterra i el que té, probablement, l'assentament més imposant de tots, a més de ser el més visitat de Cúmbria. Cada any, milers de persones recorren un curt tros entre Keswick i l'altiplà de Castlerigg Fell i Chestnut Hill, on és el monument. Aquest altiplà és el centre elevat d'un amfiteatre natural creat pels turons dels voltants i des de dins del cercle es poden veure alguns dels cims més alts de Cúmbria: Helvellyn, Skiddaw, Grasmoor i Blencathra.
