An Daingean ) és una ciutat d'Irlanda, a la Gaeltacht del comtat de Kerry, a la província de Munster. És l'única vila a la península de Dingle, als marges de l'Oceà Atlàntic, a uns 50 km al sud-oest de Tralee i 71 km al nord-oest de Killarney.
La vila es va desenvolupar arran de la invasió normanda d'Irlanda, ja que durant el segle xiii fou preferida com a port exportador a Limerick i el 1257 una ordenança d'Enric III d'Anglaterra imposà taxes a l'exportació pels ports. Cap al segle xiv es va desenvolupar l'exportació del vi. Cap al 1329 el cap de la zona, Maurice FitzGerald, 1r comte de Desmond, en va imposar una taxa. Cap al segle xvi es desenvoluparia la pesca i la importació de vins dueropeus, cosa que va atraure molts comerciants francesos i espanyols.
