L'Operació Pallassada va formar part de la invasió aliada d'Itàlia durant la Segona Guerra Mundial el 9 de setembre de 1943.
L'operació consistí en el desembarcament marítim de la 1a Divisió Aerotransportada britànica a Tàrent, una important base naval. Com que el govern italià s'havia rendit el dia abans i a la zona hi quedaven molt poques tropes alemanyes, les tropes van desembarcar directament al port des de naus de guerra en comptes de portar a terme un assalt amfibi. La resistència va ser escassa i la ciutat i els ports van ser capturats de manera gairebé immediata amb unes escasses baixes.
