La Galeria Cívica d'Art Modern i Contemporani "Giuseppe Sciortino", situada a l' antic monestir benedictí a la Piazza Guglielmo II de Monreale, acull més de dues-centes obres d'artistes del segle XX italià.
Les obres exposades són fruit de les donacions (que van tenir lloc en tres ocasions diferents, els anys 1986, 1997 i 2002) d'Eleonora Nora Posabella, propietària de la galeria "Al Vantaggio" de Roma , per retre homenatge a la memòria de la seva vida . soci , home de cultura i ciutadà de Monreale.
Entre les obres exquisides que s'hi mostren, hi ha obres mestres creades per grans mestres de l'escena nacional com Domenico Purificato, Renato Guttuso, Carlo Levi, Giorgio De Chirico, Filippo De Pisis, Fausto Pirandello, Mario Sironi, Giorgio Morandi i Luigi Bartolini.
