Slot Saalhof er et af de ældste slotte i Pinzgau-regionen. Det går tilbage til det 11. århundrede, hvor det angiveligt var hjem for greverne i regionen. Under renoveringen af facaden i 2010 blev de ældste dele af slottet på den nordøstlige side afsløret. I 1600 blev Slot Saalhof udvidet.
