Bylandsbyen Bassecourt ligger i Delémont-dalen, langs Sorne-floden, 8 km i fugleflugt fra Delémont. Dens territorium strækker sig fra dalen, 477 m over havets overflade, til bjerget, 1.029 m over havets overflade.
Den tidligere kommune omfattede også landsbyen Berlincourt, ved udgangen af en typisk jurassisk kløft, udgravet af Sorne, mellem bakken ved Pucin og bakken ved Chaux.
