Ahnatal er en kommune i den nordhessiske Kreis Kassel. Forvaltningssædet ligger i bydelen Weimar.
Ahnatal ligger nord for den Hohen Habichtswald eller på den nordlige kant af Naturpark Habichtswald. Kommunen ligger nordvest for Kassel eller vest for Vellmar og bliver gennemløbet af Ahne. Ahnatal er omgivet af flere bjerge. I vest rejser den Hohe Dörnberg sig, i nord Stahlberg og i syd Firnskuppe.
