Witzenhausen er en lille by i den nordhessiske Werra-Meißner-Kreis. Stedet fik byrettigheder i år 1225 og var indtil 1974 administrationsby.
Byen er regionalt kendt som et betydningsfuldt område for kirsebærproduktion. Området betragtes som det største sammenhængende kirsebærproduktionsområde i Europa. Kirsebæret har en tradition i Witzenhausen, og derfor fejres hvert år i juli Kesperkirmes, hvor der vælges en kirsebærdronning.
