Klatringen til landsbyen Herhahn fra Gemünd kan gøres over den travle B266. Men der er to smukke alternativer over wirtschaftswegen (veje lukket for biltrafik undtagen lokal trafik og landbrugskøretøjer), som undgår den travle Bundesstraße.
1) Det første alternativ er Alter Römerweg i Gemünd (stejl i starten, op til 12%) og derefter vejen Am Lieberg, og derefter Haselnußweg.
2) Det andet alternativ er at følge vejen Hohenfried fra Gemünd.
Derudover er der også en mulighed for at klatre til Herhahn fra den sydøstlige side, fra landsbyen Scheuren, via Höddelbachdal.
