Bestigningen af Katzenknipp er en smuk lille perle i Nordeifel. Bestigningen fra Schevenhütte starter over den temmelig rolige Landesstraße 25 (som også er den stejleste) et par kilometer senere drejer en godt asfalteret vej af gennem skovene, der er forbudt for biltrafik. Så kan du i al ro klatre op til landsbyen Großhau, med nogle gange en fantastisk panoramaudsigt over omegnen.
