Gais er en kommune i Südtirol i det nordlige Italien, beliggende cirka 60 kilometer nordøst for byen Bolzano.
Gais er en af de tre kommuner i Südtirol, hvis navn, af den grund at det lyder "romantisk", forblev uændret af det tidlige 20. århundredes omdøbningprogram, der sigtede mod at erstatte fortrinsvis tyske stednavne med italiensk versioner, de to andre er Plaus og Lana.
