Murstenfabrikken Fivelmonde ved Damsterdiep i Delfzijl er den sidste intakte autentiske murstenfabrik med en zig-zag-ovn nord for de store floder. Engang var der 17 sådanne murstenfabrikker i vores land. Udover bevaring af det industrielle monument er der tanker om at give bygningen en funktion som publikumsattraktion. For sidstnævnte er der allerede udført en række undersøgelser. Den (finansielle) gennemførlighed af det hele afhænger også af udviklingsmulighederne for fabrikken og det direkte nærområde.
