Asenray er en kirkeby i kommunen Roermond med 883 indbyggere. Indtil 1959 var Asenray en del af kommunen Maasniel, som blev lagt sammen med Roermond dette år. Asenray ligger i det landlige område mellem byen Roermond og den tyske grænse. Landsbyen ligger i nærheden af flere motorveje. Mod vest løber A73, mod nord N280-East, og nogle kilometer længere væk BAB 52. Landsbyen kan nås fra Roermond via Laatweg. Derudover er der en rute via Swalmen/Boukoul. Omgivende sogne er Maalbroek, Straat, Spik og Thuserhof.
