Her stod der tidligere et slot. Slottet hed først 'Huis Berch Eyck'. Under den Trediveårige Krig blev det en af de mange forsvarsværker omkring Den Bosch. Feltmand Maurits indtog slottet dengang, men mistede det også til spanierne.
Slottet i Bergeijk har i lang tid eksisteret som en ruin. I det 19. århundrede blev voldgraven fyldt op. I omkring hundrede år kunne man ikke se noget af slottet på grunden. Indtil for nogle år siden blev konturerne af slottet igen markeret.
Luftslottet i Bergeijk er et af stederne på cykelruten 'De Dansende Katte fra Bergeijk'.
