Mallnitz ist eine Gemeinde mit 756 Einwohnern im Bezirk Spittal an der Drau in Kärnten in Österreich.Das Gemeindegebiet liegt in einem Seitental links der Möll und wird vom Mallnitzbach und dem Seebach durchflossen. Es ist eingebettet im Gebirgsstock der Goldberg- und der Ankogelgruppe, die zum Nationalpark Hohe Tauern gehören. Die Gemeinde grenzt im Norden an das Bundesland Salzburg. Bei Mallnitz liegt das südliche Portal des Tauerntunnels der Tauernbahn.
