Die Eisriesenwelt ist eine natürliche Kalkstein- und Eishöhle in Werfen, Österreich, etwa 40 km südlich von Salzburg. Die Höhle befindet sich im Hochkogelberg der Tennengebirge-Alpen. Sie ist die größte Eishöhle der Welt und erstreckt sich über mehr als 42 km, die jedes Jahr von etwa 200.000 Touristen besucht wird. Die Eisriesenwelt wurde vom Fluss Salzach geformt, der Passagen ins Gebirge gegraben hat. Die Eisformationen in der Höhle entstanden durch schmelzenden Schnee, der in die Höhle abfloss und im Winter gefror.
