Desteldonk ist ein Dorf in der belgischen Provinz Ostflandern und ein Stadtteil der Stadt Gent. Bis zum 31. Dezember 1964 war es eine eigenständige Gemeinde. In Desteldonk lebten im Jahr 2007 897 Einwohner.
Wie der Teil "donk" im Namen bereits vermuten lässt, ist Desteldonk auf einer Sanddüne entstanden, die von Osten nach Westen ausgerichtet ist, am Rand des Beckens der Durme. Die Ost-West-Ausrichtung der Sanddüne ist noch in der Siedlung des Dorfes erkennbar, die über eine Entfernung von ca. 1,5 km entlang der Rechtstraat und der Lindestraat gruppiert ist.
