Die Haltestelle wird neu angelegt im Rahmen der Durchführung des Eisenbahnprojekts Gewestelijk Expresnet in und um Brüssel. Die eigentliche Erwartung war, dass der Bahnhof bereits 2012 eröffnet werden sollte. Aufgrund von Problemen mit dem GEN-Projekt wurde dies jedoch verschoben. Auch die erwartete Eröffnung im Jahr 2016 fand nicht statt. 2019 wurden die Arbeiten wieder aufgenommen, mit einem voraussichtlichen Fertigstellungstermin im Jahr 2023.
