Burg Achtendries, auch Burg Voorde genannt. Das heutige Schloss im klassizistischen Stil wurde auf den Überresten einer älteren Konstruktion errichtet (sichtbar im Kellergeschoss), die bis in die späte Mittelalter zurückreicht. Der Toponym "achtene", der einen prähistorischen Ursprung haben soll, ist auch mit einem Herrenhaus auf der Achtendries verbunden, das vor 630 datiert. Die Burg war früher von Gräben umgeben und hatte auch eine Zufahrtsallee, die sie mit dem Hof Achtene verband. Das einzige verbliebene Zeugnis dieses alten Pachtbetriebs ist ein runder, gemauerter Backsteinsäulenpfosten in der nahegelegenen Gasse namens Achtene.
