Usingen ist eine Stadt mit 14.733 Einwohnern im südhessischen Hochtaunuskreis. Die über 1200 Jahre alte „Buchfinkenstadt“ im Taunus war Residenzstadt des Hauses Nassau-Usingen.
Die Stadt Usingen liegt in dem nach ihr benannten Usinger Land. Sie befindet sich an der Usa im Usinger Becken am nordöstlichen Rande des Taunus. Usingen liegt ca. 30 Kilometer nördlich von Frankfurt am Main, 27 Kilometer südlich von Wetzlar und 38 Kilometer nordöstlich von Wiesbaden und an der Grenze des Rhein-Main-Gebietes.
