Eßweiler [ˈɛsvaɪlɐ] ist eine Ortsgemeinde im Landkreis Kusel in Rheinland-Pfalz und gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Lauterecken-Wolfstein an.
Eßweiler wurde 1296 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und war Namensgeber des mittelalterlichen Verwaltungskomplexes Eßweiler Tal. Um 1300 wurde die Sprengelburg errichtet, deren Ruine seit 1983 als Baudenkmal ausgewiesen ist. Im 19. Jahrhundert war Eßweiler einer der Hauptorte des Westpfälzer Wandermusikantentums, etwa 300 Musikanten kamen aus dem Ort. Heute ist Eßweiler eine reine Wohngemeinde, ein Großteil der rund 400 Einwohner arbeitet in den umliegenden Städten. Der Luftsportverein Eßweiler betreibt hier einen Segelflugplatz.
