Der U-Bahnhof Bockenheimer Warte ist eine bedeutende Umsteigestation im Westen der Frankfurter Innenstadt. Hier kreuzen sich die C-Strecke mit den Linien U6 und U7 sowie die im D-Tunnel verlaufende U4. Der Bahnhof ist damit einer von vier unterirdischen Umsteigebahnhöfen der Frankfurter U-Bahn.
Es bestehen Umsteigemöglichkeiten zu den Buslinien 32, 36, 50, 75 und zur Straßenbahnlinie 16 . Die B- und C-Ebene wurden am 11. Oktober 1986 mit der Inbetriebnahme der C-Strecke bis Zoo eröffnet. Am 10. Februar 2001 folgte die D-Ebene, in der die Linie U4 verkehrt, die um zwei Stationen vom Hauptbahnhof über den U-Bahnhof Festhalle/Messe zur Bockenheimer Warte verlängert wurde.
