Als Ausgangspunkt wählen wir den Ortsteil Ziegelhütte mit Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Wanderparkplatz. Hier ist eine Schautafel mit Wanderhinweisen vorhanden. Wir gehen entlang des Schlörbachs, talabwärts auf dem Talrandweg Richtung Glashütte. Hier angekommen biegen hinter dem linken Haus nach rechts ab, Hinweisschild beachten, und gehen auf einem wohltuenden Wiesen-u. Waldweg bis zu einem geschotterten Waldweg, hier nach rechts orientiern, auf dem so genannten „Sechziger Weg“.
Leicht ansteigend wandern wir durch verschiedene Waldkulturen unterhalb des „Hohe Hagen“ bis zum Kapitelplatz und erreichen abschließend in nördlicher Richtung den Waldrand mit Blick auf ein unterhalb fließendes Bächlein, den Schlörbach.
