Aegisthus, benannt. Agamemnon wurde von seiner Frau Clytemnestra und ihrem Geliebten Aegisthus (oder Aegisthus) ermordet, nachdem er aus dem Trojanischen Krieg zurückgekehrt war. Laut dem Mythos geschah dies in der Badewanne, wo er verwundbar und unbewaffnet war. Bevor du dich auf die Seite von Clytemnestra schlägst, ein kleiner Hintergrund.
Clytemnestras Liebe war unter null gesunken, als sie erfuhr, dass Agamemnon ihre Tochter Iphigeneia der Göttin Artemis geopfert hatte. Er hielt es für notwendig, Artemis zu beschwichtigen, damit die griechische Flotte nach Troja aufbrechen konnte.
Würziges Detail: Aegisthus war Agamemnons Cousin und somit Geliebter von Clytemnestra.
Doch das war nicht das Ende. Der Mord führte zu einem blutigen Racheakt von Agamemnons Kindern Orestes und Electra, die später Clytemnestra und Aegisthus töteten.
