Das Elisabeth Stift ist ein ehemaliges Kloster, das 1877 von den deutschen Schwestern des Ordens der Elisabethinen gegründet wurde. Nach seiner Verwendung als Krankenhaus (das erste in Kerkrade) und als Vorschule konzentriert sich „das Stift“ heute auf die Pflege von Senioren. Diese Umnutzung erhielt landesweit viel Aufmerksamkeit und gilt als Beispiel für andere Initiativen.
