Aremark grenzt im Osten an Schweden, im Norden an die Kommunen Marker, Rakkestad im Westen und Halden im Süden. Etwa 80 % der Fläche sind von Wald bedeckt. Die höchste Erhebung ist der Høgestang mit 274,6 moh.
