Admiral Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak (1880-1923) gilt als der Vater der Königlichen Thailändischen Marine. Er war der 28. Sohn von König Rama V. und zeigte frühzeitig Interesse und Talent für nautische Angelegenheiten. Er verbrachte sechs Jahre im Vereinigten Königreich und studierte an der Royal Naval Academy. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Siam nahm er eine Reihe wichtiger Positionen in der Königlichen Thailändischen Marine ein. Er ist bekannt für die Modernisierung der Marine und die Schaffung eines professionellen Offizierskorps. 1922 wurde er zum Befehlshaber der Marine ernannt. Neben seinen maritimen Studien ist der Prinz auch als Krä Arzthelfer, Boxer und Künstler bekannt. Er wird in Thailand gut erinnert. Der Jahrestag seines Todes, der 19.
