Manhattanhenge, auch ungenau als Manhattan-Sonnenwende bezeichnet, ist ein Ereignis, bei dem die untergehende oder aufgehende Sonne mit den ost-westlich verlaufenden Straßen des Hauptstraßennetzes von Manhattan ausgerichtet ist. Die Sonnenuntergänge und Sonnenaufgänge sind jeweils zweimal im Jahr ausgerichtet, an Daten, die gleichmäßig um die Sommersonnenwende und die Wintersonnenwende verteilt sind. Die Ausrichtungen des Sonnenuntergangs erfolgen ungefähr am 28. Mai und 13. Juli. Die Ausrichtungen des Sonnenaufgangs erfolgen ungefähr am 5. Dezember und 8. Januar. Ausgezeichnete Orte zur Beobachtung von Manhattanhenge sind die 14., 23., 34., 42. und 57. Straße.
