Tour Elentrik is a street art project in Bredene, initiated by the municipal council in collaboration with Treepack. The first edition took place in 2019, and after a delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the expansion was realized in November 2021.
During the second edition, gray electrical boxes were painted by a mix of professional and local artists, with ecology as the theme. These artworks are part of a route that can be explored on foot or by bike throughout the year.
To extend the lifespan of the works, all boxes are equipped with a protective coating. Tour Elentrik anchors the theme of ecology and climate change in a creative way in the streetscape. In November 2022, new boxes were added.
