Description by the author

As is customary, the International Sezoensrally will take place in Bocholt, Bree, and Peer during the third weekend of May: this year on May 14, 15 & 16, 2026.

  • On Thursday, May 14, there will traditionally be a (closed) test ride, so there will be no hindrance on the off-road bike routes.

  • On Friday, May 15, the participants will explore the course. Bike traffic is allowed, but we advise extra caution.

  • The actual competition – with closed roads – will take place on Saturday, May 16. As a result, the off-road bike routes in Bocholt, Bree, and Peer will not be accessible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

The precise routes of the rally will only be announced a few days before the rally on www.sezoensrally.be.

The gravel route Peer-Pelt in a nutshell

  1. Starting points

The route has four starting locations:

    • Sport Zone De Deuster, Deusterstraat 74, Peer
    • Breugelhoeve, Weyerstraat 1, Peer
    • Café Holheide, Heikapper 25, Holheide-Pelt
    • Den Drossaerd, Parkstraat 21, Lindel-Pelt
  2. Parking

You can park for free at each starting point. De Deuster and Café Holheide have the largest parking capacity.

  3. Facilities

Toilets are available at each starting point.

Showers are only available at De Deuster, but it's best to check first.

  4. Highlights of the route

Nature: Spot a kingfisher in De Ortolaan, a stream valley north of Peer. You will also cross the National Park Bosland, which boasts thousands of hectares of natural beauty, including the beautiful forests of the Hobos.

Sporty: You will also encounter some singletracks. The northern part of the route is a bit more hilly.

Extras: Don’t be surprised if F16s zoom overhead; the Kleine Brogel air force base is nearby. There is a lot to experience in the National Park Bosland. Be sure to combine another forest-rich activity with your bike trip.

  5. Want to know more

The route is based on the mountain bike trails of Peer and Pelt, which are perfectly doable for gravel bikes. The surface consists largely of a combination of gravel and forest roads.
