Directly opposite the remaining castle buildings, a crown canopy of majestic beeches filters the sunlight. For centuries, lords of the castle and their visitors walked and rode along this 400-meter-long access road to the castle of Bovelingen. The Red Avenue owes its name to the red earth you found here. This was made up of waste from the bricks used for the outbuildings of the castle.
