A good 20 km along the GR Green Belt, from Halle to Groenendaal, with quite a few footpaths and dirt roads, and of course, the passage through the Sonian Forest is not unrelated to that. The fact that the starting and ending points are easily accessible by public transport (it is indeed a Green Stop) is a strong plus.
