This running route begins at the sports center in Bevegemse Vijvers 1, 9620 Zottegem, but quickly leads you to the beautiful estate of Breivelde. This nature-rich area is a magnificent English landscape park that includes a castle, ten ponds, a waterfall, and a fountain. The park is famous for its diverse tree species (including common walnut, swamp cypress, monkey puzzle tree, Atlas cedar, giant sequoia, Japanese cypress, and many more). There is also a play forest called 'The Zotte Jungle' for the little ones. The castle itself, built in 1904 in the neo-Renaissance style, is now a dining establishment where you can enjoy a refreshing drink in a fairy-tale setting.
