Former Mandeldal route

This route explores the valley and landscape of Mandel and Leie. The region is a distinctly agricultural area. The soil predominantly consists of loamy soils. The province area De Baliekouter in Wakken serves as the starting point for this route. First, the route travels to Tieltse Poelberg via Oostrozebeke. The route then turns towards East Flanders. In Wontergem, the Leie is reached. Finally, returning to Wakken is done via St. Baafs-Vijve, St. Eloois-Vijve, and the old Leie arm of Ooigem.
