The Klettenbergpark in the Cologne district of Klettenberg is an approximately 6-hectare large elevated park designed as a natural garden. Planning began in 1903 and was carried out by the Cologne garden director Fritz Encke from 1905 to 1907 on the site of a 10-meter-deep gravel pit on Luxemburger Straße.
The measure implemented as part of the suburban greening at the beginning of the 20th century simultaneously served to enhance the developing neighborhood of Klettenberg, which is characterized by its strong greenery.
