Elector Archbishop Clemens August von Köln once built a hunting chapel for the Prince-Bishops of Cologne in this square. They used it for extensive liturgical purposes during grand hunts. Today, only one memorial stone remains. To remember, a new chapel was built next to it in 2004. A small avenue with annual trees leads to the square.
Visitors who need to spend a few minutes in the chapel can light candles there for a small donation.
