AzureThis short route takes us from Badajoz to Vila Viçosa. In fact, the route is even shorter, because you can turn back your clock for an hour at the border.
In Portugal we first pass by the fortified town of Elvas, which is a must for a stop and a visit. The city itself, the fort, the walls and the aqueduct are worth a visit. Vila Viçosa is a marble city, no bigger than a village, but with the beautiful palace of the Dukes of Bragança.
