Chemazé is a French commune with 1,381 inhabitants in the department of Mayenne in the Pays de la Loire region; it belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Gontier and the canton of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne-1. The inhabitants of the commune are called Camaséens. Chemazé is located about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Angers. Chemazé is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne to the north and east, Ménil to the east and southeast, Montguillon to the south, Saint-Sauveur-de-Flée to the southwest, and Prée-d’Anjou to the west and northwest.
