From the river parking Terhagen, you can follow a splendid route that first takes you south (Bunderbos) and then back north (Esloo). It goes up and down continuously and offers a great opportunity to see spring flowers. Ideal for plant lovers from late March to mid-April, but also in the summer, it is lovely to stroll under the shade of the deciduous trees. Numerous shortcuts are possible, and nowhere in the Netherlands will you encounter such steep forest slopes. In Elsloo, there are plenty of hospitality options available. Just 1 km from the border, and from Belgium, you can also use the ferry service to Geulle on the Maas.
