El Castillo Saalhof es uno de los castillos más antiguos de la región de Pinzgau. Data del siglo XI, cuando aparentemente era el hogar de los condes de la región. Durante la renovación de la fachada en 2010, se revelaron las partes más antiguas del castillo en el lado noreste. En 1600, el Castillo Saalhof fue ampliado.
