La iglesia parroquial de Loppem (Zedelgem) es un notable conjunto (neogótico) cuya origen se remonta al siglo XIII. A lo largo de los siglos, la iglesia ha sido constantemente ampliada. La pesada torre cuadrada es la parte más antigua que se ha conservado. La cúpula octogonal y la nave izquierda datan de principios del siglo XVII. La nave derecha data de 1860-1870. En esos años, la iglesia, incluido el interior, fue completamente restaurada en estilo neogótico por los arquitectos Auguste Van Assche y Jean Bethune, co-diseñador del cercano castillo.
